How are students placed and advanced through class-types?

To best support student success and development, Private Studio lesson spots are offered first to students who have completed our foundation programs, including:

These programs provide the musical foundation necessary for success in private instruction.

Completion of at least one full semester of Music Together is preferred before admission into Music Moves classes.

Placement in Music Moves classes and advancement to Private Studio lessons are determined by the Director and teaching staff, in partnership with ongoing communication with parents, to ensure each student is placed in the environment that best supports their individual growth, readiness, and long-term success.

How does tuition work?

Tuition is auto-withdrawn on the first of the month. Classes run year-round and are based on minimum enrollment. Annual tuition is evenly divided into monthly payments, which means the number of classes in any given month may vary. This keeps tuition consistent and predictable throughout the year. Monthly tuition reserves your student’s spot in the studio and is therefore due in full regardless of attendance.

What if my student misses a class?

We understand that life happens! Makeup classes are not guaranteed, but we will do our best to accommodate when possible based on availability.

For everyone’s health and safety, please do not send students to class when they are sick.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you choose to withdraw, written notice is required before the start of your final month. For Music Together classes, the prepaid last month’s tuition will be applied to the final month of attendance. For the Private Studio, the final month's payment will be auto-withdrawn on the upcoming 1st of the month and students may continue attending through the end of that month.

Notice must be submitted in writing via email or text (please include student's name) and is effective on the date it is received.

If attendance ends before the final month is completed, tuition remains unchanged and no refunds are issued. Exceptions may be considered at our discretion in cases of serious illness, relocation, or other unforeseen circumstances.

How are studio policies handled?

Our goal is to create a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment for all students and families. We ask that studio guidelines and teacher instructions be followed during classes.

If concerns arise, we will communicate with families to work toward a solution that best supports the student’s success. In rare cases where policies are repeatedly not followed or a student’s behavior disrupts the learning environment, the Director may determine that continued participation is not a good fit and may remove the student from the program. In these cases, tuition is non-refundable.

Can the schedule or tuition change?

Yes. The studio calendar and tuition rates are subject to change, though we strive to communicate any updates clearly and in advance whenever possible. Please contact your teacher for a hard copy of the current calendar or refer to the calendar in your My Studio portal.
