Our Teachers

Meet the Teachers of Dahl Studios

Our teachers come from all sorts of backgrounds, but they’re united by a common passion: Sharing music with children and families!

All teachers have successfully completed the live Music Together Teacher Training, which is built on research in early childhood and music development. We keep our skills fresh through workshops every semester and advanced trainings offered by Music Together Worldwide.

Kerri Dahl has been teaching youth, children, and families music for 27 years and has performed in Europe, Canada, and throughout the United States, including performing with Michael McLean in the Forgotten Carols, being invited to sing at the White House, and sharing the stage with Barbara Streisand. She has classical training in vocal performance and has studied elementary education, piano, composition, history, and music theory. She is a special needs mom to four children with Cystic Fibrosis and a child with ADHD who is also on the Autism spectrum and has training and extensive experience working with special needs children and their families, including professional training through The Berklee Institute for Accessible Arts Education. Her commitment to her family has encouraged her to complete a minor in music, and she is working on completing her Bachelor's in music and plans to continue to a masters in conducting. In addition to her classical voice training, she plays the piano, organ, guitar, violin, ukulele, clarinet, and harmonica.

She began conducting choirs when she was a senior in high school and it has remained one of her favorite activities. She is a member of the Gordon Institute for Music Learning (GIML) and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). She is the founder of Dahl Studio, and teaches all ages and stages of musicians from newborn to adult. She is a trained and licensed director and teacher for Music Together Worldwide, teaching the Award-Winning Music Together Babies, Mixed-Age, Rhythm Kids, In School, and Generations programs. She completed her Cert 1 for Music Together in 2023. She completed her PDLC for Piano 1 at East Michigan University in 2024. She is a trained Music Moves instructor and, in addition to her group programs, currently teaches private piano, voice, guitar, and ukulele. She was the first to bring Music Together’s Generations program - an intergenerational music making experience - to the Las Vegas valley. During the pandemic, Kerri was chosen to teach to families worldwide from Belgium to the Philippines, through Music Together's partnership with both the Richmond School District as well as CISCO Systems, providing music to families isolated due to quarantine restrictions. She is a regular presenter at the Friends of Parkinsons Symposiums on the health benefits of music. She has provided music experiences and instruction for the Well Educated Heart for the last 2 years and provides music experiences for visitors to the Belle Ame Campus for Artful Living in Weatherby, Missouri.

Kerri began singing, dancing, and playing instruments at a very young age, performing with her sister at functions from the time she was primary-age, including weekly visits with her sister to sing to the elderly in her congregation. She sang regularly with the North Las Vegas Women's Ensemble. Kerri is a Vegas native (Go Knights) and graduated from the Las Vegas Academy as a choir major. She has served in multiple music callings in her church congregation, including as choir director for youth and family choirs, chorister, and organist. She teaches Vinyasa Flow yoga at Abundant Life and Fitness in Cameron, Missouri. She is passionate about creating an inclusive environment for all and believes in the power of music to heal.
